WEDDING GOWNS TRENDS 2011

Designers are coming out with their Spring 2011 collections, and I’ve been noticing certain trends in this season’s wedding gowns. One of my favorites is their use of tulle overlays. Placing a soft layer of tulle over a different fabric creates a softer look and tones down the luster of high-gloss satin and silk.
Set to debut in a few months, the first crop of 2011 gowns are embellished with many dimensional details, lots of hand-stitched crystals, and large floral appliques.

The popular fashion designer Oscar de la Renta presented Spring 2011 Bridal Collection at designer’s NYC showroom. The new bridal line was absolutely amazing: various of palettes, many ruffles and of cause classic body conscience silhouette.

Since most of the 2011 wedding dress trends are romantic, romantic and undoubtedly romantic thus fit for dreamy affair. In fact you should feel yourself as the fortune bride who has a multitude of choices when it comes to making the selection of romantic wedding dress.

PEARL NECKLACE

Pearls are always in fashion. However, the current trend is very different from the elegant single strand pearl necklace. This year your pearl necklace should be multi layered, the more the number of strands and longer the length, the more trendy will be your necklace.

SUMMER 2010. JEWELLERY TRENDS

...Image makers know that there’s no faster way to make a fashion statement than get yourself noticed. Since in your case it’s not going to be a radical hair color, why not indulge in all the fashion jewellery advantages? It is an efficient way to make you look a celebrity whenever and wherever you appear.

This year, fashion jewellery “Oscars” go to yellow gold and blue topaz. These are the hits of the spring and summer 2010.

So, the top metal is yellow gold. Either it’s a necklace, or earrings, or a ring, yellow gold is immaculate in reflecting the sun. Besides, it doesn’t lose color intensity even if being exposed to direct sun rays for a long time.
The supremacy of the yellow gold does not mean exclude white gold. Fashion trends do not reject them as well, especially for day wear.

There is another trend this season - beads. During the past few years designers have created some stunning collections which have caught the buyers’ love at once and become a worthy rival to precious metals and stones. This year, as well as the last year, beaded jewellery is in its highest peak and the sunny summer days are an excellent opportunity to reveal your individuality, creativity and versatility with the bijouterie wide possibilities.

Since most of our summer wardrobe consists of light and airy stuff, jewellery is destined to be accentuated during the hot days. Thin necklaces, rather than big thick chokers and loose, thin bracelets that don’t cling to your arms are more comfortable.

If you find that your fingers swell up in the summer but you have a favorite ring, or you are married or engaged, I would recommend putting it on a chain and wearing the ring around your neck until the heat passes. Make your decisions right and the summer will be hot for you not only due to the weather.
Don’t be afraid of wearing noticeable chunky jewellery. It’s in this summer season. Preferably made of natural materials such as freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals.

If you decide to cut your hair for the summer, drop earrings, which highlight the neck is a key accessory as well. Or the ones like from the right, made of silver and sea shell.

So, make accents on jewellery, don’t hesitate to choose bright or chunky things if they are in harmony with the rest of your look, combine colors and stones, and be undaunted after the winter monotony.

You may find this strange but spring may be less coloured than the creations of Veronika Melnyk.

The designs are a burst of minerals, colored stones and Swarovski crystals. The jewellery is inspired by the cultures of the world and the collection seems to hold all the treasures of the earth.

The variety of the materials is amazing: sterling silver, citrine, amethyst, quartz, agate, mother-of-pearl, freshwater pearls, coral and many more that even haven’t crossed our mind.

SPRING JEWELLERY TRENDS FOR APRIL & MAY

The spring colours are going to make an impact very soon. Most exciting for me are the purple based pastels that are due to have a major impact with styles this spring.

Soft violet is exciting for the various gem combinations available to every kind of jewellery artist.

Turquoise as a color opens up working with Turquoise as a gemstone this Spring. Aquamarine is a strong choice for this match as well if that's part of your gem line.

Yellow, of course, is the essence of Spring and Citrine and Amber will be leading the pack for up front designs with that sunny day appeal.

FRESHWATER PEARLS: AFFORDABLE BEAUTY & ELEGANCE

Freshwater pearls are a sweet, smaller, and often more irregularly shaped type of pearl that can be grown in a number of different species of freshwater mussels.

For those who love the look of pearls, but do not enjoy the price tag, freshwater pearls are the least expensive, while remaining quite attractive. They are especially desirable for rope necklaces made of several strands which are twisted about each other or long opera-length strands.

Another advantage of freshwater pearls is their innate durability, which naturally resists chipping, degeneration, and wear.

More recently, the Chinese have brought freshwater pearl farming to all new levels, creating pearls of much higher quality, making them quite comparable – in fact, almost indistinguishable – from their saltwater cousins. This is another favorable breakthrough for those who wish for beauty without the price tag, as it provides jewellery shoppers with a much more affordable alternative to the expensive saltwater pearls, but with little-to-no drop in quality or appearance.

BRIDAL JEWELLERY TRENDS 2010

Accent a stark white gown with this beautiful jewellery set. Full of crystals, rhinestone and flower motifs, this set of matching earrings and necklace is the perfect accessory on your special day. Both pieces feature stunning Austrian crystal rhinestone and silver-plated metal.

This set is a wonderful example of the trend towards silver and clear colours for wedding jewellery this upcoming wedding season. In the current global economy the days of the Cinderella weddings are disappearing. But if you are a 2010 bride, do not fret! Amazing things come in small packages! Many brides are going to backyard or park setting venues, smaller bridal parties and handmade favors and invitations. Colour is everywhere and matching is out. Brides are allowing their bridesmaids to choose their dresses based on the wedding colours. This is a win for all. Everyone’s body types are different, so why not let your best friends choose a style they will look the best and be most comfortable in?

If there's one night when every woman wants to sparkle, it is New Year's Eve. But you don't have to spend a lot of money to get some high-wattage looks. Veronika Melnyk, the Jewellery Expert for GlamourJewellery.com, shared a few ways to accessorize for the shiniest night of the year.

"It's all about statement jewellery," Melnyk says. When it comes to accessorizing, she says it is also important to have a theme and stick with it.

The Vintage Look, With Statement Ring and Bangle Bracelets

This look highlights the statement ring with vintage flavor. Veronika says lots of lace and old-world style jewellery layered together brings a modern edge to classic pieces.

"Keep it as artful as you can," Melnyk said. "You can really get that vintage chic look without breaking the bank." All of the bracelets are in the $60.00 - $150.00 range.

The "vintage moment" was completed with "a lace clutch, and a beautiful freshwater pearls bracelet."
